[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide website redesign services
1. Migrate the current public website into a design that incorporates the current content modules, creates new content modules as deemed necessary during strategic wireframing, maintain the connections to third party-based apps and be scalable to accommodate growth in the number of sections and pages. Eight (8) template page options should be developed.
2. Provide a website design that is compliant with CMS platform is compliant.
3. Use standards-based code that passes validation for HTML and CSS
4. Provide browser-based content editing capabilities
5. Support cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility and mobile access
6. Integrate new system with existing campus authentication systems in order to continue to use existing account names and passwords
7. Utilize mobile-first hierarchy emphasizing content strategy
8. Create a system that promotes established brand
9. Developed per standards
- The website redesign project have been identified as the following:
1. Develop stronger, unified, and consistent branding across all departments, divisions, and aspects of the website
2. Develop stronger, more intuitive and more clearly organized site navigation, so that visitors can find information quicker and easier, enhancing the user’s experience.
3. Provide inviting and engaging content format, from web copy to multimedia, should be compelling and narrative-driven. While we’re not asking for written content in this RFP, the design and CMS must work to showcase and elevate our content, creating a sense of unity across content of varying types, styles, and production sources.
4. Improve content organization, copy, and content styles
5. Refresh graphic design
6. Develop a website that is compatible with mobile devices and can be easily integrated with social engagement and sharing tools (Facebook, Twitter, video, etc.)
7. The website should reflect inclusion and diversity, to serve a broad audience and its design, messaging, and content should reflect the diversity of Schenectady.
8. Perform usability testing to ensure website design and information architecture meet needs of primary audiences.
9. Develop and incorporate accessibility standards for compliance
10. Regardless of frontend or backend, the website should continue to feature well in search engine results, employ the latest SEO-industry strategies including optimization for voice-search, and remain search-friendly.
(2) A pre-bid tele conference will be held on June 16, 2022.
(3) All question must be submitted no later than June 23, 2022.
