Vendor needs to provide design, implementation and maintenance and corporate website including the provision of a content management system.
• Tourism Ireland requires a new look, responsive B2B and Corporate Website which utilises best practise web technologies for corporate communication
• This includes consultancy around Tourism Ireland’s business needs and project management of the development and implementation of the website
o A partnership relationship where Tourism Ireland would work closely with the successful company to develop the detailed requirements of the site ensuring compliance with Tourism Ireland’s ICT Policies and Procedures
o The primary function of the B2B and Corporate Website is to provide for corporate and business type communication covering, but not limited to the following audiences: -
▪ Corporate Shareholders and Stakeholders
▪ Trade partners overseas
▪ Industry on the Island of Ireland
▪ Media at home and overseas
▪ Internal staff working with the above audiences
o The Corporate Website provides for corporate communication including company profile, activities and press releases.
o The Trade Website provides vital resources for overseas trade publishing articles about new product developments and updates on tourism options available on the Island of Ireland. In addition, Tourism Ireland host a certification programme called the Ireland Specialists on this website.
o The Industry Opportunities website allows partners from the tourism industry on the island of Ireland to be given the opportunity to get involved in ongoing campaigns in markets overseas.
o The Media Room Website provides “always on” information on Ireland for all types of media including journalists and bloggers. This vital resource includes information on news releases, story ideas, events and sample itineraries; audio visual resources and events.
• The website should contain leading edge functionality and bring creativity to the fore.
• The website should be easily navigable across the full range of digital devices including and not limited to, tablets and smart phones, and at the same time, be fully functional on traditional desktop and laptop technology
• The website should have full integration with Google Analytics or other similar analytical tool.
• The website should be well planned and up to date reflecting the Tourism Ireland brand identity. The site should be capable of conveying in a straightforward and simple manner, whilst at the same time providing an appealing user experience, the functions of the current sites.
• The website must be built to conform with current Accessibility law
• The website needs to have an effective and intuitive search engine utilising fuzzy logic where appropriate
• The website should be developed in such a manner to ensure flexibility and future growth, and the ability to manage most of the change independent of additional development.
• The website should be able to accommodate various media formats including audio clips, imagery and video.
• The website should have the capability to integrate with other Tourism Ireland applications and systems with minimum technical involvement; and in addition, have capability to integrate into current and future social media channels with minimal technical involvement
• The website must be designed, developed and tested to OWASP or similar security standards.
• The CMS should enable Tourism Ireland staff to update and manage the content on the site themselves without the need for the supplier to provide editorial input or resourcing.
• Ideally the CMS would integrate with Tourism Ireland’s active directory to allow for single sign on.
