We are one of the leading drama schools based in LONDON, UK and we are requesting proposals from experienced service provider (FROM ACROSS THE WORLD) to develop our new website and to be available for ongoing development and projects as we go through an exciting period of change. Content Management System (CMS) must be based on an open source or commercial product.

We have provided a sitemap that captures the content we require on our new website.
Website Requirements: The following are the features and functionality we require:
(1) Homepage
(a) ‘Hero’ content slideshow player (JavaScript / Flash content)
(b) Management of ‘promotional’ content on the homepage pulled from other areas of the website that have been flagged for inclusion.
(2) Various content sections and page layouts to fit the content as defined by the sitemap. Sections of note include:
(a) Marketing-led sections that provide compelling reasons to study at our School
(b) Information-led sections:
(i) Course information pages that provide details
(ii) Applying to School (not yet an online application process)
(iii) Departmental information
(c) Alumni area
(i) Showcasing famous alumni and typical alumni case studies
(ii) Recent graduates gallery/area for each year group with a photo and small bio for each graduate (linking to fuller profile on 3rd party website as necessary)
(d) Events area to provide details for upcoming shows as well as an archive of previous shows
(e) News area with RSS feed
(f) Video area providing access to promotional trailers and original video shorts. Embedded video to be hosted on 3rd party sites such as Vimeo, YouTube etc.
(g) FAQ areas for parents, prospective students and current students
(h) Contact details & form, Useful links area, Legal info, etc.
(3) Email capture form for prospects that want to download the Prospectus or other key documents
(4) Compatibility of navigation with Smart Phones / Mobile Devices etc.
(5) Website should load quickly and be compatible with upto-date browsers (phew, not IE 6!).
(6) Website should be built as per W3C standards for good website design and accessibility.
(7) The site should also be optimized for SEO in its use of metadata and title tags etc.
(8) There should be an automated XML sitemap for submission to search engines.
(9) Email Marketing: Service Provider will be required to provide a commercial product that will handle various type of subscriber; templates for emails; tracking of email delivery, bounces, click-throughs etc., management and delivery of campaigns and newsletters.
(10) Service Provider should provide a number of email templates that we can use for
(a) Ad hoc promotions of events and performances
(b) Promotion to prospects who have downloaded the prospectus / asked for more information / filled out the contact form
(c) Regular newsletter to all parties interested in us
(11) Hosting: Service Provider should propose (and include costs for) a 3rd party commercial website hosting provider as part of your solution.
