[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide web design or accessibility services for Americans with disabilities web accessibility.
- Task 1. Inventory, Analysis and Audit:
Identify and obtain all necessary documents and materials to conduct an audit of the university’s web accessibility. The university shall provide a list of public-facing university-controlled websites to the selected firm.
- Task 2. ADA self evaluation:
Per the ADA National Network, an ADA Self-Evaluation is an assessment of a public entity’s programs, services, activities, policies, and a procedure which identifies and corrects barriers to access that are inconsistent with its requirements under Title II of the ADA. include: Development of a Self-Evaluation survey as it regards websites, to include a review of and recommendations for:
• Current web accessibility management and training;
• Current web accessibility policies and practices;
• Current web accessibility staffing and resourcing;
• Current barriers to web access and recommendations for removal of barriers.
• Meeting with the University ADA committee and appropriate stakeholders throughout the duration of the project to receive feedback and incorporate that feedback into the Self-Evaluation survey;
• Revise or develop procedures and forms needed to conduct a Self-Evaluation;
• Compile and draft the final Self-Evaluation Report.
- Task 3. Community and Public Participation and Outreach
The selected firm will assist the University in conducting an outreach program in regard to accessibility of public websites, including those used in seeking admission to or employment with the University. This will require co-coordination of a community meeting, including outreach to advocacy groups, to obtain as much participation as possible from members of the public.
- Task 4. Comprehensive transition plan update
Selected firm shall prepare a comprehensive section of the University’s ADA Transition Plan for web accessibility. The Transition Plan is a formal document available to the public which outlines the University’s compliance with the ADA for all of its programs and services.
- Task 5. Project database, mapping, and standard plans:
The selected firm will provide documentation and recommendations in universally accessible formats that do not require any additional software purchase or access. Data shall be provided in a format compatible for upload.
- Task 6. Funding and resource opportunities:
The selected firm will work with University staff to identify funding sources and a recommended schedule of completion to achieve compliance. These two items should be incorporated into the final updated Plan as recommendations.
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than August 1, 2020.
