[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide website design and development services using content management system must be compatible with web browser, social media, mobile and Search engine optimization to redesign its public-facing website,
- Primary goals of the website redesign are to:
- Create an interactive and engaging website – Central State needs an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that allows current students, prospective students, stakeholders, and others to search quickly and easily regardless of the device they are using,
- Utilize a content management system that is easy for our webmaster, content creators and authors to maintain,
- Integrate web chat functionality that is easily updated with FAQs by the unit or division authors,
- Collect information in forms, such as event registration, with functionality that allows information to download into a sortable database,
- Utilize Video and other technologies,
- Integrate specialized apps or APIs when desired,
- Integration with University social media accounts,
- The new website should be optimized for viewing on multiple devices and be built using proven and accepted website development standards,
- Design a consistent, user-friendly navigation framework for the website that meets the needs of all Central State users,
- Content authors will continue to live throughout the University so we want to give them tools to harness their creative power to write for the web:
- Graphic and User Interface Design,
- Information Architecture,
- Wireframes,
- Development of Flexible page templates include: Layout options for one-column, left sidebar or right sidebar; A variety of content blocks with flexible display options (video, audio, image, slideshow, structured content item, and more); CTAs, promos, and buttons; Headers and footers; Navigation and sub-navigation menus,
- Content Creation,
- Implementation,
- Testing,
- Training and Documentation,
- Launch,
- Development:
- Develop and test prototypes and site subsections,
- Development of graphic standards guidelines,
- Complete on-site usability test (Round 1) to include current and prospective students, faculty, staff and alumni,
- Deployment:
- Develop content with Central State’s office of University Public Relations and identified stakeholders,
- New CMS integration (content, navigation, configuration, testing of features, SEO). This should minimally include the Home Page, second level pages, and third-level pages,
- Offer an easy-to-use content management system (CMS),
- Create audience selector that allows prospects to navigate based on their interest,
- Be visually appealing,
- Design for mobile first. Use responsive design for easy use on a variety of mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. Provide the same experience in all mobile operating systems, including, but not limited to, iOS and Android,
- Enable easy coding access for our in-house multimedia specialist,
- Ensure compatibility with commonly used versions of the most popular web browsers, including but not limited to Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome,
- Develop intuitive navigation system,
- Integrate chat functionality to provide live response to admissions questions,
- Designed using concise text and tone,
- Provide well-organized and logically presented content,
- Include a search option
- Fully searchable faculty and staff directory that is security enabled to prevent bot access and auto-populated with active directory information,
- Include a calendar with easy updates for news and events,
- Include space for video, audio, and live stream,
- Integrate with social media for dynamic feed to the site of the latest postings including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter,
- Develop Meta tags (title, description, keywords, alt tag, h1, h2, h3),
- Optimize content based on SEO best practices,
- Initiate a clear path to conversion/lead generation and/or Call to Action,
- Include fully functional blog capabilities including blog search,
- Add Social media share buttons, follow buttons, etc. with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn on each page,
- Integrate Contact Form submission into Banner CRM software,
- Set-up and configure Google Analytics and train for optimization and metric analysis,
- Provide a content workflow that will allow editors to make content, but will postpone publication until approved. Should include functionality where approver can see what content was changed since last published,
- Google Tag Manager will be used to facilitate Google Analytics integrations. GTM will shuttle information from the CMS using a data layer, or JavaScr
